Bear: Grizzly 852 Black Longboard Skateboard Trucks
Product Description
A great all round truck, whether your commuting, cruising, or going fast down hills. The 2010 Grizzly's are a completely gutted, redesigned version of the already great Bear Grizzly's. All the goods of the 2009's are still here, including the sweet-spot 181mm axle width, flipable hanger for cruising and bombing options, and a baseplate shape/hole pattern to mount to just about any board out there today including drop-through's.
The new stronger and lighter 2010 design has been fine tuned to fit any standard 24mm diameter bushing on top or bottom. The baseplate and hanger turn at 52 degrees whatever setup, but the positive (standard) and negative (flipped) leverage axle placement helps you change your setup from general carving to a stable hill bombing machine in seconds. The new geometry and bushing seats will give you the best combination of lean, rebound, and response possible. The axles are heat treated, so the chance of you bending an axle is greatly reduced. Basically....you'll never want to ride another set of longboard trucks after you try these.
**MOBO NOTE: The 8mm axles allow for more versatility of bearing choice when compared to their 10mm cousins. The 52* plates are the most carvable of the Bear truck series. When the hangers are not flipped the angle is 57*, resulting in a lot of carvability and responsiveness. When flipped the hanger angle is at 47* which is far more stable but still high enough to get leverage on turns and maintain its carving potential.
The Grizzly`s have been designed to be the benchmark in longboarding trucks. A better, more exact fit and finish than other brands as it is gravity fed die cast in Canada. The axle is 181mm wide, providing a nice stable stance.
Grizzly`s will come set up to carve. Carve as hard as you want with more precision and control than ever before, they are super rad carving trucks.(57 degree angle).
When it comes time to start bombing and racing your friends, flip the hanger and you have a wickedly competitive down hill speed truck (The 47 degree angle paired with the 181mm hanger width makes for a stable speed truck).
How dose this flipping measurement work? Well, the bushing seat is recessed in the hanger, and the bushing seat and pivot nub are angled. So from the middle of the pivot cup to the middle of the axle is 57 degrees for carving and flipped for downhill it is 47 degrees.
