Five Mile: F-22 Raptor 38" Longboard Skateboard Deck
Product Description
Five Mile created a design for the F-22 Raptor that they refer to as a triple drop. Inspired by earlier s-camber slalom boards, the concept was to design a board specifically to act as a predrift race style deck. Up until now, the dominant downhill race style was to haul ass through the straights, foot brake like mad and grip through the corner. But that’s not the fastest way to ride. Five Mile wanted to build a topmount style board with tons of traction and the ability to predrift and still hook back up like a topmount.
With the angled lower rear pocket, you get comfort and adjustability in your tuck, but it also gives you an adjustable drop board while you’re riding. When you’re doing a toe side predrifts, you can place your feet deeper into the drop to get more side load. That way, you can get your square lipped race wheels to break loose more evenly so they’re not so chattery.
The Five Mile F-22 Raptor design makes it super versatile for tucks of any style and allows you to set up your predrifts better than any other board hands down. Five Mile set out to build a specific downhill race board but with the versatility of the angled rear pocket and the concave of the hot pockets, you can switch to a wide stance and standy all day long. Dubbed as the Five Mile all around board.
