Motion Note: The Five Mile Skyhawk is 38” long, 10” wide at its widest point, has a 31-32” wheelbase, ¾” drop, .70” of concave, ¼” of rocker, ⅜” of camber and sick bumps that are called “Hott Pockets”. All of these equate to an all around rad board. It takes a little getting used to, but as soon as you figure it out, you will be locked in harder than ever. The pockets hold you in perfectly for freeride and the bumps provide something to really dig your foot into for pre-drifts and slides. The slight drop mixed with the option to drop through it really allows you to choose your ride height. Five Mile and Motion team rider Jackson Wells uses the skyhawk as his go to board. He typically recommends running it topmounted for all around versatility.
After years of waiting, Five Mile has released a board with a drop through option. In either configuration, top mount or drop through, the Five Mile A-4 Skyhawk is everything you could want from a freeride board. Using the same rocker/camber and Hott Pokket concave as the Five Mile A-10 Warthog, but with a shortened platform and designed for a drop through. The platform is the same length as the Five Mile F-22 Raptor, for comfortable transition back and forth from your DH and Freeride set-ups. For more standie control, we’ve added fat gas pedals on both rails. Wheel base on the drop through variant is 31.5″. Top mount is 31-32″.
After years of waiting, Five Mile has released a board with a drop through option. The Five Mile A-4 Skyhawk is a departure from all current board designs, using a combination of 3/4″ drops with -1/4″ double rocker pockets (Hott Pokkets) and +1/8″ camber to create what we refer to as Mustache Rocker. The result is a rider to board interface that functions like a ball and socket joint. Add in the W that runs through the center, and the built in gas pedals (Speed Humps), and you have one sick ride!
Drop Through shape works with most plates, the exceptions being Randal’s, and Bears. This shape allows us to offer an adjustable wheelbase. 31-32″.
